West Rochester Diner

Route 33 -  Two Miles West of Rochester  -  Rochester, NY
5 minute ride out Buffalo Road, opposite Dolomite

In 1939 West Rochester Diner was advertised as "The Most Elaborate Diner in New York State". They toned it down a little for another ad as "Rochester's only Super-Diner".  An ad from early 1940 reads, "Wait until you see the inside, modern and spic and span as the newest equipment can make it, plus a pledge to serve best foods in the best taste, economically and quickly. Bring the family. All Our Vegetables and Fruits are Birdseye Process Foods." You could get a Sunday dinner for 65 cents (children 1/2 price). Proprietor was Edward Dauphine, Chef was Ad Voyer
