In 1936 the original Beau Brummel was located was located at 131 South Main St. The restaurant on Highland opened in 1947 and was owned by George and Ruth Glaus. They also ran the Glaus French Pastry Shoppe next door. The Glauses sold the business to A. Alan Coombs at the end of 1949 and he operated it until 1971, when he retired. In 1974 the restaurant was destroyed by a fire. I couldn't tell if the Beau Brummel ever reopened, but Glaus French Pastry / Beau Brummel Bakery lives on at the same location.
