Everybody Eats at The Dixie Pig in Abilene

The Dixie Pig proclaims on its menu to be Abilene's Oldest Restaurant. It began operation in 1931. Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Langford were the proprietors.
One ad read, "Specializing in Short Orders, Sandwiches, Candies, Tobaccos. Featuring Those After the Show - Late at Night Snacks."

The original building was demolished in 1941 and replaced with a brick structure still at 14th and Butternut
Folks in Abilene love the Dixie Pig so much they had it declared a historical landmark.
Still serving biscuits and gravy for breakfast.
